PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (PT Vale) merupakan perusahan tambang dan pengolahan nikel terintegrasi yang beroperasi di Blok Sorowako, Kabupaten Luwu Timur, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. PT Vale merupakan bagian dari Vale, perusahaan multitambang asal Brasil yang beroperasi di 30 negara dengan total pekerja dan kontraktor di seluruh unit bisnisnya mencapai 110.000 orang. PT Vale menambang nikel laterit untuk menghasilkan produk akhir berupa nikel dalam matte. Volume produksi nikel PT Vale rata-rata mencapai 75.000 metrik ton per tahunnya. Dalam memproduksi nikelnya di Blok Sorowako, PT Vale menggunakan teknologi pyrometalurgi atau teknik smelting (meleburkan bijih nikel laterit).

Vale’s Global Trainee Program 2021 Maret 2021

Vale, as global mining player, feels the need to foster its leadership pipeline, developing young talents who will be prepared to be the future leaders of the corporation. The program is intended to be annual (depending on the size of the operation), since the need to promote the pipeline is recurrent.

This is our second Global Trainee cycle in Indonesia (2020 and 2021), and we are targeting people who graduated within the last 2 years (January 2019 – January 2021). We are looking for those who have an engineering (mining, electrical, electronics, mechanical, engineering physics) or geology degree.

1. Jr. Automation Engineer

Purpose of the Role:

To do automation technical supports, automation studies, and automation projects across Process Plant department to solve problems, to sustain performance, or to realize improvement initiatives in safe, timeefficient, cost-efficient, workforce-effective, target oriented, and quality-oriented manners.

Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Electrical/ Electronic/Physics Engineering
•Graduate between January 2019 and January 2021
•Minimal GPA 3.25
•Maximum 24 years old on January 2021
•Having max. 2 years of experience in related field
•Good communication in English (written and oral) with minimum TOEFL 500 / EILTS 5.5 (proven by valid certification from reputable institution) is mandatory
•Preferably having certificate of Network Certification (CCNA), Data Center Virtualization Certification (VCP), ISA-Certified Automation Professional Certification (CAP), and Project Management Professional (PMP)
•Have good ability to operate standard MS Office.
•Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail, multitasking skills, coordination presentation and able to communicate with all level.

2. Jr. Maintenance Engineer

Purpose of the Role:

Perform engineering works, project management task, maintenance and cost analysis, investigation and other action to ensure that equipment are correctly maintained and performing at optimum capability and capacity with the best of economic cost for PT Vale Indonesia investment.

Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering
•Graduate between January 2019 and January 2021
Minimal GPA 3.25
•Maximum 24 years old on January 2020
•Having max. 2 years experiences in related field.
•Good communication in English (written and oral) with minimum TOEFL 500 / EILTS 5.5 (proven by valid certification from reputable institution) is mandatory
Knowledgeable of engineering operating systems.
•Knowledgeable of Project Management systems and Principles.
•Knowledgeable of Mechanical engineering, including but not limited to engineering design software and manual calculations.
•Knowledgeable on Contract Administration
•Knowledgeable of project cost estimation
•Knowledgeable in Safety system (EHS & MHS) and policies
•Have good ability to operate standard MS Office.
•Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail, multitasking skills, coordination presentation and able to communicate with all level.

3. Jr. Procurement Analyst

Purpose of the Role:

Prepare and proceed the tender to source goods and services within the targeted service level. Tender process shall comply to the PT Vale Indonesia Procurement Norm, meet with customer requirement at the best Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Establish a good communication between users and suppliers, prepare and control tender process and documentations to achieve the most effective process, and ensure that all processes are comply within PT Vale Indonesia ethical and business conduct.

Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree (S1) with Engineering background
•Graduate between January 2019 and January 2021
•Minimal GPA 3.25
•Maximum 24 years old on January 2020
•Having max. 2 years experiences in related field.
•Good communication in English (written and oral) with minimum TOEFL 500 / EILTS 5.5 (proven by valid certification from reputable institution) is mandatory
•Having good knowledge in Buying Product Knowledge
•Having good knowledge in Goods & Service Procurement
•Having good knowledge in Supplier Performance Management
•Having good knowledge in Contractor management
•Having knowledge SAP for Procurement
•Computer literate, experienced in MS Office Application (Word, Excel, Power Point).
•Good understanding on ERP-SAP will be an advantage.
•Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail, multitasking skills, coordination presentation and able to communicate with all level.

4. Jr. Geologist

Purpose of the Role:

Provide analyze of ore quality control and ore assessment in developing strategy to achieve planned grade and on specification chemistry as Process Plant required.

Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Gelogy
•Graduate between January 2019 and January 2021
•Minimal GPA 3.25
•Maximum 24 years old on January 2020
•Having max. 2 years experiences in related field.
•Minimum 18 months of work experiences related to mine
•Good communication in English (written and oral) with minimum TOEFL 500 / EILTS 5.5 (proven by valid certification from reputable institution) is mandatory
•Preferable have good understanding in nickel ore laterite.
•Having good knowledge related to ore quality control and geology.
•Having good knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point).
•Familiar with Arc GIS, Vulcan and Determine software is advantages.
•Have good ability to operate standard MS Office.

5. Jr. Mine Engineer

Purpose of the Role:

To produce planning, production scheduling, high quality design, project development and monitoring the progress in order to support the overall success of meeting the department objectives.

Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Mine Engineer
•Graduate between January 2019 and January 2021
Minimal GPA 3.25
•Maximum 24 years old on January 2020
•Having max. 2 years experiences in related field.
•Good communication in English (written and oral) with minimum TOEFL 500 / EILTS 5.5 (proven by valid certification from reputable institution) is mandatory
•Familiar with MS Office (word, excel, power point) with complex formula and macro data basis
•Knowledgeable in operating mining programs software, such as: Vulcan, TALPAC, MineSched, ArcGIS, etc is preferred
•Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail, multitasking skills, coordination presentation and able to communicate with all level
